Opelousas School of Cosmetology acknowledges that the institution signed and returned to the Department of Education the Certification of Agreement and the assurance that  the institution has used all funds received under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to eligible students.

Opelousas School of Cosmetology has received $39,289.00 in Emergency Aid Grants. The total  distributed to students was $39,289.00.  The estimated number of students eligible for the Emergency Aid Grant was 31. The total number of students who received the Grant was 31 students. 

 

This emergency student funding is only available to students that are enrolled as of 03/27/2020 and working toward completing contracted course hours, have maintained Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP), and eligible for Title IV funds. Opelousas School of Cosmetology distributed Grant funds evenly amounts the 31 students who were eligible. The emergency funding provided to each student is to be used for any personal needs the student may have due to COVID-19 campus disruptions, such as food, housing, course materials, technology, health care, and/or child-care expenses.
